About Us

The South East Region was relaunched at the start of 2024.  A team , we have worked tirelessly over the year to assist our members in Kent, Surrey and Sussex, be it Associate Members, Allotment Associations or Council officers.  We are delighted that our committee has now grown  which will enable even more engagement with members. If we don’t have the answers, we can signpost members to the National Allotment Society’s expertise and practical advice.

We have helped allotment associations to get the most out of their NAS membership, given advice to individual members, helped to resolve disputes and supported NAS head office through major changes and process improvements.  We have started distributing matching grants, helping to provide new benches, composting toilets and gazebos to date. 

 Our outlook is for more of the same, as in the main we are supporting a vast geographical area by electronic means and over the phone, with the occasional visit to sites. Andy Bird sits on the National Board and represents the South East in these Board meetings.
