National Allotments Week 2025 – Open Garden at West Jesmond Allotments
As part of National Allotments Week 2025 , our Regional Representative, Guy Herzmark, is opening his beautiful plot at West Jesmond Allotments, Newcastle for visitors.

🕚Time: 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
Come and explore this inspiring garden, set within a stunning allotment site that boasts lovely communal spaces, great facilities, and accessible vegetable beds for wheelchair users. It’s always fascinating to see how other gardeners tackle the challenges of allotmenteering – and Guy’s plot is full of ideas and charm.
How to Find Us:
Enter via the Highbury entrance at the junction of Highbury and Fairfield Road.
Parking is available nearby on Forsyth Road. The gate will be open between 11 am and 2 pm. Once inside, head to the lawn on the left, walk along the topiary dragon, and continue to the end to find Guy’s plot.

Little Moor Allotments in High West Jesmond is having an Open Day
Little Moor Allotments in High West Jesmond is having an Open Day.
📅Date Sunday 17th August to coincide with the NAS open week.🕚Time: 2 pm - 4 pm
We'll have stalls on the communal field selling fresh allotment produce and flowers, homemade cakes and preserves, and second-hand gardening equipment.One of our members is very involved with the hedgehog trust and will be having a stall promoting the trust. We'll also have guides showing people around the site, as well as a band playing music, a refreshments stall, and a tombola.
The site can be accessed via the entrance at the corner of Jesmond Dene Road / Ilford Road. There's plenty of parking around the site on Ilford Road and Moorfield, as well as the streets near to the site. Everyone is welcome
